Daily Mirrors 2009 Hotlist
HOLIDAYS
BY IAIN MAYHEW
If the pound remains weak, travellers will be heading outside the Eurozone -
to Turkey (left), Croatia, Morocco, Egypt and Tunisia, where things are cheaper
than at home.
Hungary has become a real bargain with the collapse of their currency, the
Forint, and Budapest is great for a short break. Although the country is
landlocked, there are beach resorts around Lake Balaton, with plenty of good
deals on accommodation.
Unless UK hotels drop prices and improve standards, many will suffer. But
holiday parks like Butlins, Haven and Pontins should do well.
